Seven Cities, One Phone: OtterBox Sends an iPhone Around the World

FORT COLLINS, Colo., July 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Plenty of people have trekked around the world, but what about a globe-trotting iPhone? OtterBox is sending an iPhone around the world to capture the adventures of a diverse set of global ambassadors, as they Pass It On.

OtterBox founder and Chief Visionary Officer Curt Richardson hands Nate Jestes the iPhone that will make a journey across the world.

The seven-leg tour will begin in Fort Collins, Colo., at OtterBox Global Headquarters and make stops across the world, ending in San Francisco. The journey will be documented on the well-traveled iPhone 7 Plus and by an accompanying film crew.

Each stop is hosted by an ambassador that embodies the locale and requires a different OtterBox case series, showcasing the diversity of the protective options available from the No. 1-most trusted brand in case protection.1 The expedition will include:

  • Deadwood, S.D. + Defender Series: Rodeo circuit regular and Fort Collins native Nate Jestes is kicking off the tour by strapping the iPhone into a Defender Series and road tripping to South Dakota to go face-to-face with some of the meanest bulls in existence during Days of '76 Rodeo.
  • Mexico City, Mexico + Symmetry Series: Aly Villegas, a TV host, takes iPhone to viva en México where she will give a behind-the-scenes glimpse at her style-centric life as a beauty queen, model and TV host.
  • Brooklyn, N.Y. + uniVERSE Case System: Chef Bao Bao, owner and executive chef at Baoburg in Brooklyn, takes the phone from the beauty scene to the kitchen where it will capture the ins and outs of a bustling up-and-coming restaurant and show off its versatility with uniVERSE modules.
  • Reykjavík, Iceland + Pursuit Series: Photographer Kylie Fly will take on the desolate, beautiful countryside of Iceland with the slim, rugged Pursuit Series to chase waterfalls, volcanos and gorgeous scenery.
  • Paris + Strada Series: model, Bastian Grimal introduces iPhone to a life of luxury in Strada Series, while he tours around favorite spots in his hometown.
  • Hong Kong + Commuter Series: Born and raised in Hong Kong, photographer Elaine Li takes iPhone through the busy streets she knows like the back of her hands. iPhone will follow her commute all around Hong Kong on trains, ferries, busses, bikes, drones and more.
  • San Francisco + Statement Series: Artist Heather Day brings iPhone back to the U.S., where it makes its final destination stop in Statement Series, the Apple-exclusive OtterBox case. Day will show off the more colorful side of San Francisco and simple side of iPhone in this simple yet elegant case.
