On Jan. 4, 2011, Fort Collins Mayor Doug Hutchinson and Character Fort Collins recognized OtterBox and the OtterCares Foundation with the Character in Action Award. The award recognizes either an individual or group of citizens that have demonstrated outstanding character as it relates to a specific event or series of events impacting the community.
OtterCares and OtterBox were recognized for demonstrating the characteristics of generosity and humility through the “Get It, Grow It, Give It Challenge,” an employee giving project that coincided with the official launch of the OtterCares Foundation in the fall of 2010.
