OtterBox, maker of premier protective solutions for mobile technology, will welcome a flurry of frigid cyclists at its new headquarters building in downtown Fort Collins, Colo. The locally owned company will host a breakfast station for the 2011 Winter Bike to Work Day on Dec. 14.

Along with proVelo and Mugs Coffee Lounge, OtterBox will cheer on commuters braving the unpredictable Colorado weather to support this annual event organized by the city of Fort Collins. Cyclists who swing by the west parking lot of the OtterBox facility at 209 S. Meldrum St. from 7 to 9:30 a.m. will be treated to breakfast, a special OtterBox gift (limited quantities), on-the-spot repairs from proVelo and coffee from Mugs. OtterBox is one of 17 breakfast stations welcoming cyclists throughout the city. A complete map and listing is available here.

OtterBox was recently named a Bicycle Friendly Business, receiving a Silver designation from the League of American Bicyclists. The designation is awarded to companies that have worked hard to increase bicycle friendliness in the workplace. At OtterBox, this work included the addition of an indoor bicycle locker room at its headquarters building, complete with repair and maintenance tools.
