Colorado Governor Hickenlooper Visits OtterBox Headquarters

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper visited the newly-constructed OtterBox® headquarters during a trip to Northern Colorado on Oct. 6. Gov. Hickenlooper was hosted on a tour of the facility by OtterBox Founder and CEO Curt Richardson, President Brian Thomas and OtterCaresSM President Nancy Richardson among other OtterBox directors and members of the media.

Richardson and Hickenlooper traded tales of entrepreneurship during the tour.

“It was an honor to have Gov. Hickenlooper visit our new headquarters,” Richardson said. “Colorado has been very supportive of our growth and we want to see other local businesses succeed.”

OtterBox moved into a 52,000-square-foot corporate headquarters location at 209 South Meldrum Street in June 2011. The building was named a Fort Collins 2011 Urban Design Award winner on Oct. 4 and houses over half of the company’s 300-plus local employees.
