Each year in the month of April, thousands of Americans donate time, energy and passion to non-profit organizations all over the country in honor of National Volunteer Month. OtterBox® and its non-profit foundation, OtterCaresSM, made their mark by encouraging employees and customers alike to give back. OtterBox employees volunteered hundreds of hours for dozens of local organizations including Food Bank for Larimer County, Turning Point, The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Wildlands Restoration Volunteers and Habitat for Humanity.

The volunteerism efforts of OtterCares extend beyond Fort Collins, Colo., in which the company and foundation are based. In celebration of National Volunteer Month, the foundation recognized customers who participate in volunteerism by hosting an online contest asking for volunteer story submissions. Winner will be announced Thursday May 5, 2011.
