Despite the different looks, the case still offers the same unparalleled level of protection.
The innovative OtterBox Defender Series design provides drop, bump and shock protection in several layers. Two pieces of polycarbonate slide and lock together to securely encase the iPad, a silicone outer skin wraps around and shields side buttons and ports and a self-adhering screen protector applies to the Multi-Touch screen.
An additional polycarbonate cover attaches to the front of the device while not in use or snaps to the back during interaction. This piece also functions as a stand for convenient displaying. With an easily removable back door, the case also accommodates the optional dock accessory.*
