With the launch of the OtterBox® Defender Series® for iPhone® 4, OtterBox released the following statement: the black OtterBox Defender Series case for the Apple iPhone 4 has been officially NAC tested to address the loss in signal strength. This statement is inaccurate, as NAC did not test for loss of signal strength. Rather, internal testing by OtterBox engineers concludes our case acts as a dielectric between the two antennas of the device thus solving the antenna issue experienced by many iPhone 4 users. No loss of signal strength is experienced when using the iPhone 4 in a Defender Series case.
