Change The Way You Look at Your Tablet: OtterBox Introduces Agility Tablet System at CE Week
The Agility tablet system enhances the convenience of a tablet, allowing users the freedom to bring their tablet anywhere and everywhere.

FORT COLLINS, Colo., June 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- With an estimated 70 million tablets in the U.S.1, these portable devices are used everywhere from the bedroom to the kitchen, and the couch to the office.2 Tablet utility just got an upgrade with OtterBox®, the No. 1-most trusted case brand for smartphones in the United States and Canada.3 OtterBox introduces the Agility tablet system at CE Week, allowing users to protect, transport and mount tablets where they use them most.

The Agility tablet system increases convenience and portability for the Apple® iPad Air, iPad® 2/3/4, iPad mini with Retina® display, Samsung® Note 8, Samsung Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) and Samsung Tab 3 10". Agility is made up of multiple components that work in concert to make tablet use more convenient and seamless whether at home, work or school.

"Tablet use has evolved over the years, becoming a part of everyday life for consumers," said OtterBox CEO Brian Thomas. "The Agility tablet system enhances the convenience of a tablet, allowing users the freedom to bring their tablet anywhere and everywhere. Our high quality folios paired with a flexible mounting and docking system allows tablet users to really experience a tablet in the way they were designed to be used."

The tablet system is made up of five components that seamlessly integrate tablets into daily life. The system is available for purchase in bundles or by individual part.

Shell – The key component of this innovative tablet system is the polycarbonate, magnetic Shell. It snaps to the tablet, providing easy installation and trusted OtterBox protection. The Shell attaches to a folio, mounts to a wall or connects to a dock, while helping protect from scratches, bumps and drops.Change the way you look at your tablet: OtterBox Agility tablet system.

Folios – While the Shell helps protect from impact, the folios provide scratch protection for users on the go, utilize embedded magnets to interact with the wake and sleep features of Apple tablets, and come in three options: Folio, Portfolio and Deluxe Folio. The folio is a slim cover that closes over the tablet front with a micro-suede interior for screen coverage and works as a two-position stand for typing and viewing. The Portfolio provides full protection, covering the front and back of the tablet, and converts into a two-position stand. A durable, classy ballistic nylon with a micro-suede interior protects the screen. The Deluxe Folio folds around the entire tablet, working as a multi-position stand for typing and viewing, with compartments for added accessory storage. A shoulder strap is also included for mobility.

Wall Mount – There is no need to clear space on the kitchen counter or desk with the Agility Wall Mount. The Wall Mount attaches to nearly any vertical surface with 3M Command Strips, and leverages the magnetic mounting system in the Agility Shell to secure the tablet in place.

Dock – The Dock can be set up on the desk, kitchen counter or nightstand. It conveniently holds a tablet at the optimal angle for hands-free viewing.

Power Dock – The Agility Power Dock functions as a stand and charging station. The Power Dock plugs into a standard wall outlet and accommodates three USB plugs for charging of up to two additional devices. Cords are kept organized and out of view for a clean look.

The Agility tablet system will be showcased on June 25 at ShowStoppers @ CE Week. Agility will be available on otterbox.com, bestbuy.com and at select Best Buy retail locations. For more information, visit otterbox.com.
